Competition cheerleading is one of the fastest growing youth sports, providing strength training, conditioning and skill development in tumbling, dance choreography, stunting and performance, plus building character and confidence.

Wolverine Cheerleading
is the best choice for your athlete
and your family!

At Wolverine, Cheerleading is for EVERY child –
IAW offers competition cheer teams and tumbling classes for athletes of every age and ability, from 3 years through college at two great locations - Ann Arbor and Wixom!!  IAW athletes come from almost every school district from Brighton to Monroe. “My girls leave the gym dripping with sweat and grinning ear to ear. They’d be at the Wolverine All Star gym every day if we could! Plus, we love that all the kids participate all the time. Unlike other team sports, no one ever sits out on the bench.”

At  Wolverine, there is a place for athletes of every ability and skill level. We believe that every child who wants to cheer on a team should have that opportunity, and we will place them appropriately on a team, paying careful attention to their safety, personality and skill level.

At Wolverine, we strive to help every athlete win. And for us, winning is more than just a trophy – and yes, we have our share of trophies! Participating on a Wolverine cheer team is about learning to work together, to support and trust each other, to accept direction and praise gracefully, and recognize the value of each individual on the team. We encourage every athlete to be proud when they perform at their personal best.

Wolverine Staff is the Best Available –
Wolverine All Star has the best and most experienced coaches in the industry. All coaches are highly trained and experienced in working with young athletes, and all are AACCA certified, USASF credentialed, CPR certified and background checked! Wolverine All Star Owner and Head Coach Pam St. John is Spirit Director and Head Cheerleading Coach at the University of Michigan. Plus, many University of Michigan cheerleaders coach young athletes and train at Wolverine All Star gym!

Wolverine Is the Best Value in Cheerleading –
We DARE you to compare Wolverine All Star to other competition cheerleading programs. You will not find more value for your investment anywhere. We are truly “in it for the kids”.

  • Team tuition at Wolverine – even though it includes unlimited tumbling classes –  is considerably less expensive than other cheerleading and gymnastics gyms and dance studios in our region.

  • No mark-ups Some gyms mark up the cost of uniforms 100%! Wolverine doesn’t mark up team uniforms. Many gyms require you to purchase expensive additional team logo apparel, gear tote bags, practice gear and matching shoes. Wolverine offers these as options, but does not require them.

  • Special skill clinics included Wolverine team tuition includes several skill clinics during the year. For example, two stunt clinics a month during May, June and July and additional clinics during the competition season.

  • No hidden extra fees Many gyms charge administrative fees, booster fees, music fees, fees for additional tumbling and dance training, and more. We know that this is a big investment, and you don’t appreciate financial surprises. Wolverine believes in honesty, integrity and clear communication. There are no hidden extras at Wolverine. You pay only for tuition, competition entry fees, camp and uniform. That’s it.

  • Discount for Families If you have more than one child at Wolverine All Star, the oldest athlete pays full price; additional team members receive a 25% discount off team tuition fees.

Unlimited Year Round Tumbling for Team Members –
Athletes who are members of a Wolverine competition cheerleading team may take unlimited tumbling classes, at any offered time, for no additional cost. Unlike at other cheerleading gyms, tumbling classes are INCLUDED in your athlete’s team tuition. Team members typically are required to attend two 90-minute team practices each week August – April, and at least one additional tumbling class. Up to four tumbling classes are usually offered each week for every level of tumbling skill, and your athlete may attend as many of these as your schedule allows. Team members must attend the level appropriate class. We understand that you need a flexible schedule, so Wolverine does not require team athletes to pre-register for tumbling classes. This flexibility allows your cheerleader to play another spring or summer sport and still progress on their tumbling! Please see the “Calendar” and “Classes” pages for more information.

Wolverine Has The Best Choreography –
Choreography for the 20010  Wolverine teams is being created and taught by one of the industry’s fastest rising cheerleading consultants, Joshua Stone from ICE Athletics!

“Safety First” is the 1st rule at Wolverine All Star gym–
All coaches are first-aid & CPR certified, and our team medic is a physical therapist specializing in sports rehabilitation. Athletes practice on spring floors and inflated tumble track, and train to protect each other from injury.

“Have Fun!” is the 2nd rule at Wolverine All Star gym–
Wolverine All Star Cheerleading offers a positive, rewarding personal and team experience. Our athletes have fun at the gym and our Spirit Team of parents and athletes plans numerous social activities away from the gym. “Winning medals and trophies is great, but my kids gain so much more from being on a Wolverine team – leadership, confidence, performance skills, and great friends! Their strength and skills improve constantly.”
